Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA) Training Awards

Applications must be submitted by Monday, November 7, 2016

The Alzheimer Society Research Program is now accepting applications for the 2017 ASRP-CCNA Research Competition. The 2017 competition includes two types of awards open to CCNA-affiliated trainees. They are the ASRP/CCNA Training Awards and the CCNA/ASRP/CNF Training Awards for Nursing Students.

These awards are designed to support outstanding trainees working within the CCNA. To qualify for an award the candidate’s supervisor must be working within a CCNA associated team, platform, or cross-cutting program and their project must align with the research plan of the CCNA. The candidate must be fully budgeted in the CCNA team, platform, or cross-cutting program to be eligible.

The benefits of a CCNA Training Award include the recognition that arises from receiving a competitive peer-reviewed national research award and a research allowance plus funds for knowledge dissemination. Please note that in contrast to other ASRP Training Awards, Master-level graduate students are eligible for these awards.

If you have any questions about these awards please contact Amanda Duncan, Training Program Coordinator: trainingprogram@ccna-ccnv.ca

If you are a CCNA-affiliated trainee or potential trainee, please visit the Alzheimer Society of Canada webpage for information on eligibility criteria and how to apply.

If you are a CCNA investigator member, please help us identify interested, qualified and eligible CCNA-affiliated trainees or potential trainees by directing them to the Alzheimer Society of Canada webpage noted above.
