We present the results of the 5th CCCDTD, which convened in October 2019, to address topics chosen by the steering committee to reflect advances in the field, and build on previous guidelines. Topics included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>utility of the National Institute on Aging research framework for clinical Alzheimer&rsquo;s disease (AD) diagnosis;<\/li>\n<li>updating diagnostic criteria for vascular cognitive impairment, and its management;<\/li>\n<li>dementia case finding and detection;<\/li>\n<li>neuroimaging and fluid biomarkers in diagnosis;<\/li>\n<li>use of non\u2010cognitive markers of dementia for better dementia detection;<\/li>\n<li>risk reduction\/prevention;<\/li>\n<li>psychosocial and non\u2010pharmacological interventions; and<\/li>\n<li>deprescription of medications used to treat dementia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We hope the guidelines are useful for clinicians, researchers, policy makers, and the lay public, to inform a current and evidence\u2010based approach to dementia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"author":19,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"studies-relation":[],"class_list":["post-4613","ccna_publication","type-ccna_publication","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
