Inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA)

IDEA statement

The Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA) is proud to be the hub for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia research in Canada, and a global leader in research on all aspects of neurodegenerative diseases from prevention to treatment to improving the quality of life of those living with the disease.

CCNA is committed to integrating inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility (IDEA) and Indigenous People’s rights to self-determination and sovereignty in all its work, including research, governance, policy development and implementation, training, and capacity building.

CCNA provides infrastructure to support research and training to Canada’s diverse dementia researchers and clinicians by removing barriers to research participation, data access, and collaboration to ensure everyone’s ideas are respected and represented in the work we do.
