This year again, our annual conference will be held online. We have made many positive changes to the poster session (and to the conference) from what was done last year.

  • You will be able to talk directly to your visitors during the poster session (up to 50 people at a time can show up to your poster!) giving you the feeling of an in-person event.
  • The session schedule was adjusted according to last year’s comments.
  • Your abstract will be published in a special edition of a scientific journal indexed/covered in PubMed ProQuest, Crossref, and EBSCOhost.com Research Databases.
  • Awards we be attributed in many categories (with a formal judging panel) plus a people’s choice award.

The Trainee Poster Session and Competition is open to all CCNA trainees. You’re a CCNA trainee if you’re a graduate student (Master’s or PhD) or a Postdoctoral Fellow working under the supervision of a CCNA investigator and engaged in CCNA-related work.

Note: You do not need to be receiving CCNA research funds to be considered a trainee.

 

  • There is no limit of the number of posters you can submit, however, only one poster may be entered into the poster competition. When submitting your abstract(s), please indicate which poster abstract would wish to be considered for a poster award.
  • Posters must follow the format given (see below)
  • All material must be received before the deadline, September 23, 2021. No material will be accepted after.
  • Trainees must have made a significant contribution to the research presented. Trainees may be first or second author, but must be the presenting author.
  • Please ensure you have the permission of your CCNA supervisor to submit your abstract.

Abstract Submission Criteria

  • Must contain no more than 250 words (edited).
  • Must feature CCNA related research work and a CCNA acknowledgement.
  • Must be written clearly and be appropriate for multiple audiences from various disciplines and backgrounds.
  • Must present information on the question addressed, the methodology, the results and the research implications.

Poster Format

Each poster will consist of:

  • An abstract
  • A 4 minutes maximum video presentation using a maximum of 4 slides.
  • A lay abstract consisting of a maximum 50 words text written for EPLED members and for the general public that will attend CCNA’s Science Days. This lay abstract will not be submitted with the abstract to the scientific journal, but will be placed on the event’s website, alongside your poster.

Don’t send your video presentation itself, but send a hyperlink to your video (you can upload it to Youtube, Vimeo or any other video sharing platform).

Your material will have to be sent to CCNA no later than September 23, 2021. Be creative and start preparing now!

 

Other Useful Information:

  • Questions from the event participants will be asked in person during the poster session period. They can also be sent through the chatbox for you to answer at anytime during the conference.
  • The poster presentation period is planned in the agenda (Wednesday, October 13, 2021 – 6:30-8:00 pm EDT)
  • Every poster will be eligible for the People’s choice Award.
  • Winners will be presented during an exciting closing event (October 15, 3-6:00 pm EDT)
