Pamela Roach receives the Killam Emerging Research Leader Award at the University of Calgary

The Killam Emerging Research Leader Award honours early-career researchers who have made outstanding contributions to research and whose work falls within the scope of CIHR, NSREC, or SSHRC.

Dr. Pamela Roach, the co-Lead of CCNA’s Indigenous Cognitive Health program, is an Associate Professor, departments of Family Medicine and Community Health Sciences, Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary.

She received the award for her exceptional contributions to public health, specifically for her work on co-developing culturally safe community-driven strategies that enhance brain-health services for Indigenous communities, all within the framework of decoloniality.
