Search for CCNA Theme 1 and 3 Co-Leads
Since the start of Phase III, CCNA Theme 1 (Primary Prevention) and Theme 3 (Quality of Life) have been led solely and exceptionally by Dr. JoAnne McLaurin and Dr. Melissa Andrew, respectively. To complement both Dr. McLaurin and Dr. Andrew’s expertise in these positions, we are inviting Canadian researchers to apply for the role of Theme 1 or Theme 3 Co-Lead for the remainder of Phase III (2024-2029).
We are seeking individuals with evidence of research impact and leadership in research related to dementia. Interested applicants should possess a broad understanding of the Canadian research environment and demonstrate a collegial approach to working with other researchers, trainees, knowledge users, and community members.
The new Co-Leads will work collaboratively with either Dr. McLaurin or Dr. Andrew, with a focus on fostering cohesion and synergy among respective teams and across CCNA’s network. As a member of CCNA’s Research Executive Committee, the Co-Lead will also contribute to CCNA leadership more broadly.
Early-career researchers are encouraged to apply. For Theme 1, preference will be given to applicants with expertise in human research. For Theme 3, preference will be given to applicants with expertise working with administrative/big data.
See a full description of the Roles and Responsibilities of CCNA Theme Leaders.
To be considered, interested applicants must submit:
- A letter addressed to the Search Committee outlining their interest in the position of either Theme 1 or Theme 3 Co-Lead, relevant leadership experience, and what they would hope to accomplish if appointed; and,
- A copy of their curriculum vitae (CV).
- Letters of support (optional). These letters should explain why the appointment of the applicant would be advantageous to Theme 1 or Theme 3, and to CCNA more generally.
