Brain Health PRO receives accolades!
The members of the Canadian Therapeutic Platform Trial for Multidomain Interventions to Prevent Dementia (CAN-THUMBS UP) are celebrating a milestone publication entitled “Brain health PRO/Santé cerveau PRO: The development of a web-based program for dementia literacy and risk factor reduction”. The article published in the Journal of Prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease, covers the development process of Brain Health PRO – an evidence-based online educational program with a focus on risk and protective factors for dementia (LINK).
The article describes the systematic approach combined with end-user engagement that “facilitated the design of a program that effectively balances the delivery of scientific content with the specific constraints, needs and abilities of older adults”.
In an editorial in the issue where the paper is published, Dr. Alex Bahar-Fuchs writes an enthusiastic review of Brain Health PRO and states that “Belleville and colleagues have delivered a commendable, rigorous, and theoretically grounded intervention that represents a new benchmark in dementia prevention research.”
Congratulations to all who developed Brain Health PRO for such an accolade!
