CCNA Science Day and Partners Forum, Vancouver, BC
October 6-7, 2016
The Training and Capacity Building Program would like to thank the 20 trainees who participated in the annual Science Day and Partners Forum in Vancouver.
Seventeen trainees participated in the trainee poster competition on Science Day. Awards were given out in three categories: Master, MD/PhD, and Postdoctoral.
The following trainees were recipients of ASC-CCNA Poster Awards.
Master Category:

Trainee Awards and Achievements
The Canadian Association on Gerontology and the CIHR Institute of Aging have awarded CCNA trainee Claire Godard-Sebillotte (Team 19, McGill University) the 2016 Anne Martin-Matthews Doctoral Research Prize of Excellence in Research on Aging.
Trainee Professional Development Sessions at CCNA Science Day and Partners Forum
Summaries of the professional development sessions, “Building Authentic Relationships” and “The Non-Academic Career Path,” will be available in the upcoming winter issue of The Synapse.

The Training and Capacity Building Program will be launching a short survey in November 2016 to gather feedback from trainees on developing a trainee-organized association.
