• WHO can submit a presentation? Any researcher, trainee (PhD or Postdocs), and research staff conducting relevant research in Canada.
  • Can the presentation have MULTIPLE AUTHORS? Yes, but the person submitting the presentation should be the first author and the speaker.

  • WHAT should the presentation cover? The presentation should cover research conducted in Canada that fits the sessions’ theme. The presentation is short (10 minutes) and should provide a brief summary of key findings as well as look into the future of this line of research. At least one plain language slide is required to help all attendees follow the main points.

  • Can I submit for MORE THAN ONE Tik-Talk session? Yes, but we will prioritize giving as many individuals as possible the opportunity to present. Therefore, the likelihood of being accepted to give more than one presentation is low.

  • HOW will presentations be selected? We will populate the Tik-Talk sessions with presentations on a first-come-first-served basis while ensuring that as many people as possible are represented.

  • HOW will I know if my presentation was accepted? We will send a confirmation email to all the presenters after the submission deadline.

Themes for the sessions
  • Dementia risk reduction and prevention

  • Sex and gender differences in dementia and brain health

  • Quality of life of people living with dementia and care partners

  • Diagnosis and treatment of dementia

  • Inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility in brain health and dementia

  • Studies using COMPSS-ND data
